Like the three pillars, the three dimensions of environmental justice are a framework for understanding sustainability as addressing all stakeholders. The three dimensions see environmental justice through a lens that allows for more cultural and societal awareness, fostering inclusivity by encouraging people to think about which groups have power and which groups are marginalized when discussing and enforcing sustainability.

Participation

Each person should have the opportunity to take part in making decisions about climate and the environment.

It is necessary to make sure that all groups are recognized so that they may participate.
